Job description

We are looking for someone with a passion for making a difference in the lives of elders. Sometimes our modern society forgets that this population has the same social and emotional needs as everyone else.

GeroPsych is the mental health division of Key Rehabilitation, Inc., based in Murfreesboro, TN. We work with Skilled Nursing Facilities throughout the Midwest to provide psychological services to residents. Currently, we are working with multiple short-term stay skilled nursing facilities in Kansas to provide these services.

We are seeking licensed Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors (LCPCs). We utilize both in-person and telehealth modes of treatment. Typically, treating residents of nursing homes is most effective in person. However, because we aim to serve rural areas, telehealth may be the only viable option in some cases.

Our services address the personal psychosocial issues people face, promote personal growth and a sense of purpose, and help residents adjust to life in a nursing home. Our philosophy emphasizes that, at any age and in any setting, people need to find meaning and purpose in their daily lives.

Responsibilities

GeroPsych is seeking an LCPC for telehealth patient treatment in Kansas. Positions are very part-time—just a few hours a week—or up to full-time, depending on the location.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with an active state license.
• Willing to perform job responsibilities while adhering to Key Rehab’s Code of Ethical Conduct and following all applicable state and federal guidelines.
