Job description

Licensed Clinical Counselor (Notional Opportunity)

Join to apply for the Licensed Clinical Counselor (Notional Opportunity) role at Acuity International.

This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in the southeast, southwest, or central United States, with travel likely required.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Adhering to all contract and Acuity policies and procedures.
  2. Conducting and documenting mental health assessments, providing ongoing individual and group counseling, and ensuring quality care.
  3. Responding to crises, including conducting risk assessments, making referrals, and ensuring timely interventions.
  4. Screening for human trafficking, child abuse, and neglect, and making appropriate referrals.
  5. Maintaining accurate documentation and case files in accordance with policies.
  6. Participating in meetings, supporting operational needs, and ensuring compliance with mandated reporting.
  7. Performing miscellaneous duties as assigned, including emergency behavioral interventions.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or relevant behavioral science with 3 years of counseling experience.
  • Active, unrestricted clinical license in any Clinical Counseling field.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and remain calm under stress.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in residential shelters or treatment centers.
  • Proficiency with electronic data systems.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, ascend/descend stairs, and withstand environmental conditions.
  • Must be alert and able to perform physical activities necessary for emergency responses.
