***This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in the southeast, southwest, or central United States. Travel will likely be required.***
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to all contract and Acuity policies and procedures.
- Conduct and document mental health assessments, either directly or via tele-psych software, and provide ongoing individual and group counseling in accordance with contract policies.
- Manage caseload coverage during time off requests to maintain continuity of care.
- Complete all assessments and screenings according to contract policy and uphold high ethical standards of client care.
- Provide quality care, timely responses to participant needs, crisis intervention, risk assessments, incident reporting, and referrals as required.
- Screen for human trafficking, assess for child abuse and neglect, and make appropriate referrals.
- Document biopsychosocial assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, family sessions, and safety plans accurately.
- Collaborate and respond promptly to staff, case managers, and management.
- Attend all required meetings and maintain accurate records in Acuity's electronic system, ensuring data accuracy for reports.
- Report significant incidents following contract policies, with clear documentation.
- Support operational needs, including organizing meetings, filing, data entry, and communication.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting requirements.
- Assist in policy development and implementation as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and proper record-keeping, avoiding social media postings about clients or staff.
- Help department heads implement operational policies.
- Handle client and customer complaints appropriately.
- Perform Emergency Behavioral Interventions (EBI) and monitor responses.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or related field, with 3 years of counseling experience.
- Active, unrestricted clinical license in a relevant counseling field.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Clean Child Abuse and Neglect (CA/N) check.
- Ability to multitask, be detail-oriented, organized, and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in computer use and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexible scheduling to accommodate operational needs.
- Remain calm and composed under stress.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in residential shelters or treatment centers.
- Proficiency with electronic data systems.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
- Ability to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Adaptability to weather conditions and outdoor environments.
- Use manual dexterity and sensory acuity.
- Remain alert and able to perform physical activities for extended periods.
- Ability to respond physically in emergencies, including evacuation assistance.
