Lawrence Technological University seeks a Clinical Counselor (Licensed) to deliver counseling services to enrolled students on LTU's campus. The role emphasizes short-term psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and educational outreach to support personal growth and academic success.

The candidate will participate in CARE activities, collaborate with multiple campus departments, and may work in the evenings or on weekends to meet student needs.

Competenze

• Master’s degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or social work from an accredited program.
• Michigan license in psychology, social work, or counseling (limited or full) required or in process.
• 1–3 years of clinical counseling experience, preferably in higher education settings.
• Ability to work with diverse student populations in a university environment.

Mansioni

• Provide direct counseling services including short-term psychotherapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention.
• Balance about 60% direct service and 30% indirect tasks such as planning and supervision.
• Develop and deliver mental health workshops and outreach to faculty, staff, and students.
• Engage with campus events, CARE team when needed, and emergency response as required.
• Collaborate with departments across campus (Career Services, Housing, Athletics, etc.).
• Maintain documentation in the counseling center's electronic health record system.
