Job summary

Duke University, through Duke Health, seeks a licensed psychotherapist to join Duke Primary Care in central North Carolina. You will provide psychosocial assessments and treatments, maintaining a patient panel with a strong emphasis on direct care.

Two years of outpatient psychotherapy experience and current licensure (LCSW/LMFT/LCMHC) are required; LCAS preferred. Excellent communication and Epic proficiency are valued. Hybrid/onsite work options available.

Qualifications

• Two years of outpatient psychotherapy experience as a licensed clinician.
• Current licensure as LCSW, LMFT, and/or LCMHC; LCAS preferred.
• Experience in medical settings or team-based programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial assessments of patients and families.
• Develop and implement psychosocial treatment plans.
• Deliver crisis, individual, marital, family, and group therapies.
• Screen and diagnose using DSM nomenclature; manage mental health/substance use issues.
• May participate in on-call or after-hours coverage.
• Provide consultative services to health care team members as needed.
• Maintain records per department, hospital, and health system guidelines.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement.
• Adhere to onsite and/or hybrid availability for work policies.
