Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist.

Position Status: Flexi/PRN, Evening Shift

Position Location: On-site in Virginia Beach, VA

Standard Working Hours: Must be able to work Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

Overview

The Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist provides individual, group, and/or family therapy; offers staff consultation, supervision, and education. Responsible for delivering social work/counseling services to patients in inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings. Assesses social, psychological, cultural, environmental, and financial situations, as well as disposition needs, for each patient. Collaborates with patients, families, healthcare team members, and community agencies to develop and implement plans to address identified needs. Evaluates the effectiveness of these plans and initiates changes as necessary.

Education

• Master’s Degree or higher

Certification/Licensure

• Currently licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Required

Experience

• Related experience is preferred but not required.
