Job summary

Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas, Inc. (CHC/SEK) is seeking a licensed mental health clinician to join the behavioral health clinical team.

The role involves diagnosing and evaluating mental and emotional disorders, administering therapy programs, and participating in performance improvement activities. Responsibilities include conducting psychological testing, planning therapy frequency and duration, collaborating with psychiatrists, and referring patients to internal or external

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor or Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker in Kansas.
• Graduate of an accredited college/university.
• Completion of one-year experience in a clinic setting preferred.
• No sanctions by the Kansas Behavioral Science Regulatory Board (BSRB).

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses or evaluates mental and emotional disorders.
• Performs psychological testing and evaluations.
• Selects approach to use in individual therapy, plan frequency, intensity, and duration of therapy.
• Observes patient in play or other situations and interprets tests to diagnose disorders and plan treatment.
• Collaborates with a Psychiatrist and other specialists in developing treatment plans.
• Makes appropriate referrals to internal/external resources for additional services.
• Provides clinical consultation to other providers within CHC/SEK.
• Ensures accurate, timely, and clear medical record documentation.
• Maintains clear written and oral communication to patients/guardians and employees.
