Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Kansas seeks a Behavioral Health Clinician to perform intake assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients in a collaborative care setting.

You will use evidence-based modalities (CBT, ACT, motivational interviewing), monitor progress with PHQ-9/GAD-7, and work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care. A Master's in social work and LCSW license are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or related field.
• LCSW license required.
• 2+ years direct clinical experience in behavioral health.
• Experience with IMPACT/SBIRT models preferred.
• Experience with diverse patient ages and primary care settings preferred.
• Training in CBT or PST required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial intake visits with behavioral health history and assessment.
• Provide DSM-5 diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
• Educate patients about behavioral health issues and goals.
• Coordinate with the Integrated Behavioral Health Model and team-based care.
• Assess suicide risk using evidence-based tools.
• Deliver brief, time-limited interventions (CBT, ACT, motivational interviewing).
• Monitor symptoms with PHQ-9, GAD-7, AUDIT.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Document interactions and care plans promptly.
• Provide crisis intervention and participate in team meetings.
