Health Education Assessment And Leadership Inc. seeks a Licensed Behavioral Health Professional to deliver counseling, create individualized service plans, and coordinate services for individuals, families, and groups in our on-site Atlanta office.

You will conduct clinical assessments, lead group sessions, participate in supervision, ensure regulatory and credentialing compliance, manage confidential documentation, and collaborate with the CMO and staff to support diverse populations.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in social work, counseling, or related field.
  • Georgia licensure as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
  • CME credits required to maintain license.
  • At least two years of acute Behavioral Health experience.
  • Experience with EHR systems (ECW) preferred.

Job Title: Licensed Behavioral Health ProfessionalJob Classification: Full-Time, ExemptWork Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pmReporting Relationship: Chief Medical Officer (CMO)Location: On-site, Atlanta GAPrimary Accountability (Job Purpose):The Licensed Behavioral Health Professional (LBHP) at HEALing Community Health will provide professional counseling services encompassing the diagnosis and treatment of mental, emotional, and addictive disorders. The role includes delivering psychoeducational interventions to prevent such conditions and offering consultation to individuals, couples, families, groups, and organizations. The LBHP will play a key role in supporting behavioral health needs through compassionate, evidence-based care.Essential Functions:Facilitates and coordinates Individualized Service Plans (ISP) with patients and their families or caregivers, supporting consumers in articulating personal goals and objectives.Proactively assists consumers and families in managing or preventing crises through planning and intervention.Serves as the primary coordinator of behavioral health services, ensuring linkage to appropriate community resources.Supports the development and management of an individual caseload.Conducts therapy sessions and performs comprehensive clinical assessments.Prepares discharge and transition documentation as needed.Participates in team lead meetings and clinical supervision.Conducts qualitative audits of medical records to ensure compliance and quality.Provides assistance to consumers seeking help via phone or in-person visits.Supports staff during consumer crises by helping complete accurate and timely documentation.Authorizes services within the required electronic systems.Facilitates group counseling sessions.Performs behavioral assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.Performs additional duties as assigned by the CMO.Qualifications:Education: Master’s or higher degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a closely related behavioral health field.Licensure: Active and unrestricted Georgia licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)Licensure: Continuing (CME) credit to maintain license and board certification after residency.Experience: Two years of acute Behavioral Health experienceStrong understanding of mental health practices, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and lead diverse teams effectively. Experience in developing and managing clinical budgets in collaboration with financial staff.Proficiency with electronic health record systems (e.g., ECW).Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage workload efficiently.Meets all credentialing and privileging requirements at the federal, state, and local levels.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with staff, patients, senior leadership, and external partners.Demonstrated cultural competence and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.Demonstrate poise, tact, and diplomacy with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations.Punctual work attendance, adhering to regular schedule unless approved by CMO.Physical Demands:Must be able to remain in a stationary position (e.g., sitting or standing) for extended periods while performing administrative and supervisory duties.Frequently operates a computer and other standard office equipment such as a copier, telephone, and printer.Occasionally moves throughout the office to access files, attend meetings, and interact with staff and clients.Must be able to communicate effectively in person and via electronic or written formats, including the ability to exchange accurate information with clients, staff, and external partners.Occasionally lift or move items up to 25 pounds.Work Environment:Work is performed in a professional office environment with regular interaction with clinical staff, patients, and external stakeholders.The position may require flexibility in scheduling, including occasional evenings or weekends, to meet program or client needs.Exposure to emotionally challenging situations is common, requiring resilience and the ability to maintain professional boundaries.
