Job summary

Berks Counseling Center, Reading, PA, is seeking a Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor to join a team-based, multidisciplinary care approach providing integrated behavioral and physical health services.

Responsibilities include screening, assessment, individual/group/family counseling, developing treatment plans, and ensuring compliant documentation within agency standards; must hold PA LPC/LCSW/LMFT and English/Spanish bilingual skills.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related social service field required.
  • Active PA Licensure (LPC, LMFT or LCSW) required.
  • LPC, LCSW, or LMFT with counseling experience in mental health and/or drug and alcohol required.
  • Experience with mental health required.
  • Be bilingual: English/Spanish required.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week within agency hours of operation, which are 8am-8pm Mon-Thurs, 8am-4pm Friday with Saturday hours, when applicable.

As a Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor will be responsible providing integrated treatment supporting the needs of both behavioral and physical health care to clients admitted to Berks Counseling Center. This would include clinical treatment modalities and supporting documentation.

You will:

  • Serve as an active member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team.
  • Provide screening, assessment, and evaluation of potential clients.

Requirements

To qualify for the position, you will need to have…

These clearances must be valid within the 60 months prior to employment. A conviction is not a bar to employment; however, a review will be conducted to make a determination of employment should a conviction be present.

3. Receipt of original documentation and verification of relevant degrees, diplomas, certificates, or licensure.

4. Confirmation that you are not on the OIG Federal Healthcare Program Exclusion from Participation list. Should you appear on this list, Berks Counseling Center is prohibited from employing you.
