Job summary

Kaleidoscope ABA Therapy is seeking a Licensed Behavior Specialist to join our growing team in Pennsylvania. We offer competitive pay and flexible scheduling to support 1:1 ABA services across center, school, home, and community settings.

Responsibilities include administering VB-MAPP and Functional Assessments, creating BSPs, supervising staff, and using data to guide treatment. Must hold PA LBS and a master's in a related field; ABA experience required.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Behavior Specialist in PA is required.
  • Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Education, Psychology, or related field (ABA preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience conducting functional behavior assessments with individuals under 21.
  • Minimum of 1,000 hours of in-person clinical experience with individuals with behavioral challenges or autism spectrum disorders.
  • Experience providing ABA services in center-based, home, and community settings.
  • Knowledge of PA IBHS regulations and requirements for ABA services.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the role.

Position Description
  • LBS will provide behavior consultation services as defined under IBHS regulations in center-based, school, home and community environments as needed.
  • Administer assessments including but not limited to VB-MAPP, Essentials for Living, Functional Assessments and Functional Behavior Assessments.
  • Create behavior support plans (BSP) for children on caseload as needed.
  • Provide supervision by observing and having team meetings with the staff and the families.
  • Implement data collection systems, review collected data and modify treatment according to data-based decision making.
  • Document progress on goals as required of position.
  • Visit children in-home, in school or other out-of-center locations to appropriately complete assessments and reassessments when necessary.
  • Complete all necessary documentation related to child's plan of care from ITP to Discharge for children in caseload in a thorough, timely and diligent manager as required.
  • Train Behavior Technicians to appropriately and successfully apply the principles of behavior through positive intervention techniques.
Required Experience and Education
  • Licensed Behavior Specialist in the state of PA
  • Maters degree from an accredited university in Behavior Analysis, Education, Psychology, or related field (ABA preferred)
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience conducting functional behavior assessments with individuals under 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of 1,000 hours of in-person clinical experience with individuals with behavioral challenges or with autism spectrum disorders
  • Experience providing ABA services in multiple settings (center-based, home, community)
  • Knowledge of PA IBHS regulations and requirements for ABA services
  • Ability to meet the rigorous demands of the job, which may include long periods of standing, sitting, following, pushing/pulling equipment, and/or lifting as well as the ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and spend time on their feet as well as an ability to lift children, to 50 lbs., on occasion. You may spend a significant amount of time crouching, crawling, and engaging with children on the floor or standing for long periods.
