Job summary

Sephora USA, Inc. in Emeryville, CA is seeking a Licensed Beauty Advisor (hourly, part-time) to guide clients through their beauty journey at the Beauty Studio. You will perform makeup, waxing, and related services, while staying informed on trends and products to educate customers.

The role requires an active state license and 1–3 years’ experience in beauty retail or service. Flexible scheduling is offered, with shifts across evenings, weekends, and holidays to support peak retail operations.

Qualifications

• Active license to provide waxing, makeup, and false eyelash services in the state where performed.
• 1–3 years’ experience in beauty retail, service, or hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of beauty products, trends and techniques.
• Ability to deliver personalized client service and build lasting relationships.

Responsibilities

• Drive results by performing and rebooking beauty services, servicing clients, and selling products.
• Perform makeup, waxing and other services listed in Sephora’s Beauty Services menu.
• Stay informed about beauty trends and product knowledge to educate clients.
• Maintain licensure and uphold hygiene standards and safety protocols.
• Foster inclusiveness and teamwork and uphold Sephora standards.
