• Upsell retail items such as hair care products, makeup applications, and retail math strategies to boost sales.

Experience

• Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a barber or cosmetologist with a strong portfolio of haircutting and styling work.
• Familiarity with salon software platforms such as MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management.
• Knowledge of color theory, hair coloring techniques, and store management principles is highly desirable.
• Skilled in sanitation practices specific to barbering and cosmetology environments.
• Excellent client communication skills with the ability to build rapport and provide personalized service.
• Experience in retail sales including upselling techniques for beauty products like nail care items or hair accessories.
• Certification in barbering or cosmetology from an accredited program is required; additional skills in hair styling, makeup application, or hair threading are a plus.
