Job summary

DiSalvo’s Barbershop in Boston is seeking a Licensed Barber to join our vibrant salon team. You will perform haircuts, straight razor shaves, grooming consultations, and provide personalized care that makes clients look and feel their best.

You will use MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage records, and process transactions, while mentoring junior stylists and contributing to store management and retail sales efforts. A license and passion for grooming are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license issued by the state or relevant licensing authority.
• Proven experience in barbering techniques including straight razor shaves, hair extensions, and grooming styles.
• Strong knowledge of color theory for hairstyling and hair coloring services.
• Familiarity with MINDBODY scheduling and client management.
• Excellent communication skills to connect with diverse clients and team members effectively.
• Ability to perform sanitation procedures meticulously to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Experience in retail sales techniques such as upselling products related to hair care, makeup, nail care, and retail math proficiency.
• Knowledge of advanced styling techniques including eyelash extensions and hair threading is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor colleagues while maintaining high standards of customer service.
