Job summary

Encore Rehabilitation, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Athletic Trainer to provide coverage for athletic events at the Sports Medicine department in Tuscaloosa, AL. The role requires assisting team physicians, maintaining athlete records, and coordinating with coaches on injury status.

The L/ATC will render treatments as directed by physicians, communicate with coaching staff, and contribute to the health care team while adhering to NATA/BOC standards and Alabama licensure requirements.

Qualifications

Graduation from approved college/university.
Eligible/Certified through NATA/BOC.
Eligible/Licensed through Alabama Board of Athletic Trainers.

Responsibilities

Attend athletic events as assigned, assisting team physicians when in attendance.
Maintain written records on all athletes and communicate status to team physicians/coaches.
Coordinate with coaching staff regarding injured players and schedule changes.
Record progress on injured athletes on established forms and refer injuries to physicians for diagnosis and treatment.
Perform treatments as ordered by physician and maintain equipment for event coverage.
Maintain proper attitude of encouragement toward all athletes/staff and participate in in-services.
