Qualifications

We provide individualized care for clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, and other mental health challenges.

Role Description

The Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) – Telehealth is a part-time clinical position providing individual counseling through secure telehealth platforms. Responsibilities include conducting therapy sessions, completing biopsychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans, maintaining timely clinical documentation, and providing consistent, professional care.

The LAC will receive regular clinical supervision and support with case consultation, treatment planning, and professional development. This position is well suited for an LAC seeking to build clinical experience and confidence while working in a flexible private-practice setting.

The primary focus of the position is providing quality individual therapy. The LAC will maintain appropriate professional boundaries, establish strong therapeutic relationships, communicate effectively with clients, and coordinate with other providers when appropriate and authorized by the client.

This is a part-time, telehealth-only position with some evening availability.

Compensation

$45 per hour

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) license in good standing.
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.
• Ability to provide individual counseling to adults and/or adolescents through telehealth.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build therapeutic rapport.
• Knowledge of evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, person-centered, solution-focused, or trauma-informed care.
• Ability to complete timely and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans.
• Comfortable using telehealth technology, electronic health records (EHR), and digital platforms.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a part-time caseload independently.
• Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, professional boundaries, and culturally responsive care.
• Willingness to participate in regular clinical supervision and incorporate feedback.
• Dependable, professional, and responsive.
• Previous outpatient mental health or telehealth experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to maintain a consistent part-time schedule, including some evening availability.
• Experience with risk assessment and crisis management is beneficial.
