Job summary

Salt Lake City Corporation is hiring a Licensed Architect to lead design and construction projects within the Public Services Department, ACM Division. The role often serves as Project Manager, evaluating and applying architectural methods while coordinating with consultants.

The position offers full city benefits and requires licensure with Utah, plus experience in architectural project management and supervision of staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture from an accredited college or university; licensure required or eligible via reciprocity.
• Registration as a Licensed Architect in Utah; out-of-state candidates must reciprocity within six months.
• Ability to lead and support team members, prepare complex reports, and interface with contractors and public.

Responsibilities

• Design and complete architectural projects; act as Project Manager on multi-faceted projects.
• Prepare bid documents and oversee bidding processes.
• Direct architectural staff; assign workloads and conduct evaluations.
• Monitor project status, budgets, and schedules; ensure compliance with standards.
• Represent Salt Lake City Corporation on joint projects and with public/consultants.
