Salt Lake City Corporation is seeking a Licensed Architect to serve as Project Architect and Project Manager on City projects within the Public Services Department, ACM Division. The role involves evaluating architectural techniques, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with City guidelines throughout design and construction phases.

Qualifications

• Five-year BS or Master’s in Architecture from an accredited program.
• Registration as a Licensed Architect in Utah (or eligible by reciprocity).
• Four years of paid work experience as an Architectural Project Manager including design/drawing experience.
• Ability to lead, develop, and support team members; effective communication with contractors and public.

Responsibilities

• Design and complete architectural projects; serve as Project Manager on complex assignments.
• Coordinate with consultants to meet Salt Lake City guidelines and project requirements.
• Prepare designs, plans, specifications, cost and time estimates for bid documents.
• Oversee bidding components and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Review project requirements, materials, pricing, and contractor payments.
• Direct staff, assign work, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Assist in budgets, scopes, scheduling, and phasing for architectural projects.
• Perform construction administration; review submittals and change orders.
