Job summary

Longfellow Design Build, Inc. is seeking a licensed Architect to lead design and construction oversight across our Boston, New Hampshire and Cape Cod divisions.

You will develop conceptual designs, prepare drawings and specifications, and ensure code compliance in a fast-paced design-build environment. Applicants should have a professional license, proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit or SketchUp, strong communication skills, and a portfolio of built projects.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to understand requirements, goals, and budgets.

  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and zoning laws.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals for project execution.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and resolve design issues.
  • Review and approve material samples, finishes, and construction details.
  • Utilize CAD software to create and present design proposals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and sustainability in architectural technology.
  • Draft technical documentation and specifications for construction.

Job description

Longfellow Design Build, Inc., a reputable design-build firm and real estate developer, is seeking a skilled Licensed Architect for our Boston, New Hampshire & Cape Cod divisions. We are looking for natural leaders who can thrive and contribute to our fast-paced team environment. The candidate will perform all phases of architectural work including planning, designing and overseeing the construction. You will be involved in new building designs, extensions, alterations, restorations and conservations from the earliest stages right through to completion. The goal is to match client’s needs and to produce sustainable, functional and aesthetically pleasing designs.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements, goals, and budget for the project.
  • Create conceptual designs and develop detailed architectural plans, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and zoning laws.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure smooth project execution.
