Job summary

NorthStar Regional | Mental Health Services & Addiction Treatment in Otsego, Minnesota seeks a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) for a full-time role. You will deliver SUD treatment in a co-occurring program, including assessments, treatment planning, individual and group counseling, crisis support, and continuing-care planning.

Requires Minnesota LADC in good standing, at least three years’ DHS-licensed SUD experience, EMR/EHR proficiency, and HIPAA knowledge.

Qualifications

• Current Minnesota LADC license in good standing.
• Minimum three years providing SUD treatment in a DHS-licensed program.
• Experience with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders.
• Knowledge of evidence-based SUD treatment approaches including motivational interviewing.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain strong therapeutic boundaries.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary SUD clinician for an assigned caseload, providing individualized, client-centered care throughout the treatment experience.
• Complete comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans reflecting each client's needs, strengths, goals, and barriers to recovery.
• Provide individual counseling using evidence-based approaches that build insight and change.
• Facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups addressing SUD and co-occurring needs.
• Deliver clinical interventions supporting relapse prevention and healthy coping skills.
• Lead continuing-care and discharge planning, coordinating services for successful transitions.
