Job summary

Lucid Dermatology is seeking an experienced Aesthetician to lead the aesthetic side of our busy dermatology practice in Jamaica, Queens, NY. You will own the position, build lasting patient relationships, and drive growth through effective consultations and treatment plans.

The ideal candidate has a NYS Esthetics License and hands-on aesthetic experience, with strong skincare knowledge and a proactive, entrepreneurial approach.

Qualifications

• New York State Esthetics License is required.
• Prior hands-on professional aesthetic experience is required.
• Dermatology, plastic surgery, medical spa, or cosmetic practice experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of skincare, treatment protocols, and professional skincare products.
• Excellent consultation, communication, and patient-education skills.
• Strong treatment and retail recommendation skills.
• Proven ability to build patient relationships and encourage retention.
• Professional, dependable, organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a busy medical environment.
• A self-starter with a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial, growth-minded approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform aesthetic and skincare treatments within New York State scope of practice.
• Conduct thorough skincare consultations and develop customized treatment plans.
• Educate patients on treatments, skincare, maintenance, and home-care regimens.
• Recommend professional skincare products and treatment packages when appropriate.
• Build and maintain a loyal aesthetic patient base through exceptional service and follow-up.
• Help reactivate existing patients and identify opportunities for repeat business.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation, before-and-after photographs, and treatment records.
• Maintain an immaculate, organized, sanitized, and fully stocked treatment room.
• Work collaboratively with dermatology providers, medical assistants, front desk staff, and management.
• Participate in practice promotions, aesthetic events, patient outreach, and growth initiatives.
• Take initiative in identifying ways to improve the aesthetic patient experience and grow the department.

Lucid Dermatology is seeking an experienced, confident, and highly motivated Aesthetician to take ownership of the aesthetic position within our busy dermatology practice. This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for someone who can step in, take initiative, build strong patient relationships, and help grow the aesthetic side of the practice.

The right candidate is polished, professional, personable, sales-minded without being pushy, and passionate about skincare and aesthetics.
