Job summary

Lucid Dermatology in Jamaica, Queens, NY seeks an experienced Aesthetician to own and grow the aesthetic department. You will consult with patients, create treatment plans, and promote home-care regimens to build retention.

Ideal candidates have NY esthetics licensure and hands-on experience in dermatology or medical spa settings, with a proactive, growth-minded approach and strong patient education skills.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Esthetics License required.
• Prior hands-on professional aesthetic experience required.
• Strong knowledge of skincare, treatment protocols, and professional skincare products.
• Excellent consultation, communication, and patient-education skills.
• Strong treatment and retail recommendation skills.
• Proven ability to build patient relationships and encourage retention.

Responsibilities

• Perform aesthetic and skincare treatments within New York State scope of practice.
• Conduct thorough skincare consultations and develop customized treatment plans.
• Educate patients on treatments, skincare, maintenance, and appropriate home-care regimens.
• Recommend professional skincare products and treatment packages when appropriate.
• Build and maintain a loyal aesthetic patient base through exceptional service and follow-up.
• Help reactivate existing patients and identify opportunities for repeat business.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation, before-and-after photographs, and treatment records.
• Maintain an immaculate, organized, sanitized, and fully stocked treatment room.
• Work collaboratively with dermatology providers, medical assistants, front desk staff, and management.
• Participate in practice promotions, aesthetic events, patient outreach, and growth initiatives.
• Take initiative in identifying ways to improve the aesthetic patient experience and grow the department.

Lucid Dermatology is seeking an experienced, confident, and highly motivated Aesthetician to take ownership of the aesthetic position within our busy dermatology practice. This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for someone who can step in, take initiative, build strong patient relationships, and help grow the aesthetic side of the practice.

What We're Looking For

The right candidate is polished, professional, personable, sales-minded without being pushy, and passionate about skincare and aesthetics. You should be comfortable consulting with patients, recommending appropriate treatments and home-care products, developing treatment plans, encouraging retention, and creating an exceptional patient experience.

Most importantly, we want someone who sees the aesthetic department as their area to develop, nurture, and grow — someone who wants to OWN the position, not simply fill it.
