Job summary

Prairie View in Newton, KS is seeking a Full-Time Behavioral Health Counselor to provide individual and group counseling for adolescents and adults within a nonprofit social services setting. The role involves conducting assessments in person and via telemedicine, developing and updating treatment plans, and coordinating care with referrals.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in addiction counseling or related field, and Kansas QMHP credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Bachelors in addiction counseling or a related field required. Will consider a Kansas licensed QMHP with preference being a licensed addiction counselor. The following credentials can be considered: LAC, LMAC or LCAC.
• Minimum Experience: Experience working with adolescents, adults, and older adults in a substance use disorder counseling capacity. One (1) year of behavioral healthcare clinical counseling or clinical case management work experience.
