Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Licensed Addiction Counselor for travel assignments in healthcare facilities. Travel role requires 40 hours weekly, with pay of $2,619 per week and placements across inpatient and outpatient programs.

You will provide one-on-one counseling, group therapy, crisis intervention, and support behavioral health needs, adhering to professional standards and state licensing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work or public health required
• Current license or certificate in addictions/substance abuse counseling in the state of assignment required
• Experience in behavioral health guidelines and assessments preferred
• Complies with professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire or chest X-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate

The Licensed Addiction Counselor provides one on one drugand alcohol consultation to patients/clients; along with individual and grouptherapy in a variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient programs.The Licensed Addiction Counselor also provides crisis intervention and assistswith behavioral health needs and issues including mental illness, developmentaland learning disabilities, substance use, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work orpublic health required
• Current license or certificate in addictions/substance abusecounseling in the state of assignment required
• Experience in behavioral health guidelines, to includebehavioral health assessments, individual and group therapy, clinicalmanagement of patients with mental illness and / or substance abuse issuespreferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
