Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Licensed Addiction Counselor to provide one-on-one and group counseling across inpatient and outpatient programs. You will deliver crisis intervention and support for behavioral health needs, including mental illness and substance use.

Required are a Bachelor's degree in a related field and current licensure in addictions counseling. Travel assignments in North Carolina facilities are available with competitive pay and solid benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work or public health required.
• Current license or certificate in addictions/substance abuse counseling in the state of assignment required.
• Experience in behavioral health guidelines including assessments, individual and group therapy preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Deliver individual and group therapy in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Job description

The Licensed Addiction Counselor provides one on one drugand alcohol consultation to patients/clients; along with individual and grouptherapy in a variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient programs.The Licensed Addiction Counselor also provides crisis intervention and assistswith behavioral health needs and issues including mental illness, developmentaland learning disabilities, substance use, etc.

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work orpublic health required
• Current license or certificate in addictions/substance abusecounseling in the state of assignment required
