Job summary

Encino Hospital Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our night-shift team. You will deliver direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in a fast-paced ER setting, upholding EMTALA guidelines and triage processes.

The ideal candidate holds an active LVN license, current BLS, and IV certification; BW certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid LVN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• IV certification upon hire; Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

The Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care, and meets the communication needs of the patient and family; Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Demonstrates knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and triage process in the ER setting.
