Job summary
The State of Iowa - Executive Branch is seeking a Driver & Identification Service Center Specialist to deliver exceptional customer service while handling licensing and identification tasks. You will operate in a high-volume environment, ensuring accurate eligibility determinations and smooth processing of credentials.
You will conduct driving tests, provide guidance on Real ID requirements, and assist with examinations.
Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or GED equivalent with experience.
- 30 semester hours of accredited college coursework may count as one year of experience.
- Current continuous experience in the state executive branch including six months as a Driver & Identification Service Center Associate.
Responsibilities
- Act as a point of contact for customer questions and inquiries by phone or in person.
- Provide knowledge of driver's license eligibility, licensing requirements, and identification requirements under federal REAL ID standards.
- Administer and score driving examinations (motorcycle, car, truck, passenger, CDL) and review records for eligibility.
- Support teammates through training and mentoring to enhance service quality.
