Ideal candidate has MLIS with 10+ years in library leadership; advanced degree in Public Administration is valued. The role requires strong communication, fiscal oversight, and commitment to intellectual freedom.

Qualifications

• MLIS from an American Library Association-accredited program is required.
• A second Master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) or equivalent is highly valued.
• Executive leadership experience with elected officials and governing boards may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for a five-location library system.
• Oversee budgeting, facilities, technology, public services, and operations.
• Build community partnerships and ensure responsible stewardship of public resources.
