Job summary

Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) is seeking a Library Specialist to provide customer service at the Circulation/Reserves desk, manage the seed library, and support inter-district loans and student staff. The role also involves Open Maricopa project work, editorial reviews, and data tracking.

You will edit attribution and accessibility materials, help with displays and events, and participate in district committees as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and 1 year of library support experience, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of customer service experience.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Experience working in a college or university library setting.
• Experience working with an Integrated Library System (ILS).
• Strong writing, copyediting, and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated organizational proficiency and ability to meet timelines.
• One year of full-time MCCCD experience during the previous two years.

Responsibilities

• 50% Provides customer service at Circulation/Reserves desk; assists with receiving and processing materials, maintains seed library, may supervise student workers.
• 40% Conduct editorial reviews for attribution, copyediting, accessibility, completeness, and clarity of Open Maricopa projects.
• 10% Completes additional special projects as assigned.
