Job summary

The City of Oak Creek is seeking a Library Shelver to ensure library materials are available for public use and kept neatly on the shelves. You will sort, shelve, and assist patrons, contributing to a tidy, welcoming library environment.

Responsibilities include shelving accuracy, processing new materials, handling deliveries, program setup, and assisting with inventory. A high school diploma and strong customer service are required.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Sort, shelve, relocate and search for library materials.
• Read shelves for accuracy of order and re-shelve as needed.
• Assist in maintaining the library collection and inventory.
• Receive/process deliveries and donations; set up for programs and events.
• Complete opening and closing procedures.
