Job summary

The City of Tolleson seeks a Library Manager to lead library staff, oversee day-to-day operations, and represent the Library in City Council meetings. You will supervise staff, manage the facility and both physical and digital collections, and support customer service with a positive, collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with five years library experience, including one year in advanced or supervisory work.
• Master’s in Library Science (ALA accredited) strongly preferred.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and rotating Saturdays; valid Arizona driver’s license and ability to operate City vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, support, and develop library staff.
• Manage the Library’s passport program.
• Collect, analyze, and report library statistics.
• Review and implement policies and procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist with digital devices and resources.
• Promote library materials, services, and programs.
• Oversee facility maintenance, safety, and security.
