Carol Grotnes Belk Library at Elon University seeks a creative, collaborative individual with a genuine enthusiasm for teaching to fill the position of First-Year Experience Librarian. The person in this role will join our growing Teaching and Learning team as we develop foundational literacies and skills that prepare students to succeed in their majors, undergraduate research, and lifelong learning.
The First-Year Experience Librarian will also lead the library's engagement with campus programs that help students thrive, with a focus on transfer, first-generation, and historically underrepresented students. The FYE Librarian will serve as liaison to the Department of English and will work with a collaborative team of librarians that supports the teaching, outreach, and assessment goals of the library. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a commitment to Elon's values of Inclusive Excellence and help foster a welcoming climate within Belk Library and the Elon University community. Librarians of all experience levels, including early-career professionals, are encouraged to apply.

This is a 12-month, on-site, non-tenured Staff with Faculty Rank position reporting to the Coordinator of Teaching and Learning.
