Job summary

Library Systems & Services LLC seeks a Library Safety and Security Manager to lead system‑wide safety and security practices across Riverside County libraries. You will guide patron interactions, incident analysis, and risk reduction, working with operations, HR, branch managers, vendors, and client partners to improve staff preparedness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in criminal justice, security management, public administration, emergency management, risk management, or related field.
• Significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in safety, security, public-facing operations, or incident management.
• Experience in public libraries and managing behavioral incidents, disruptive conduct, threats, and safety concerns.
• Strong training, facilitation, writing, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain safety and security procedures for patron interactions and public-facing operations.
• Review patron-related incidents to identify trends and prevention opportunities.
• Conduct safety assessments of library locations and recommend improvements.
• Support managers in responding to disruptive or threatening patron behavior.
• Establish consistent incident reporting, documentation, and escalation.
