Job summary

City of Port Aransas seeks a library program coordinator to develop and deliver adult and children’s programming, engage with community partners, and oversee volunteers. You will manage donations, track participation, and publicize events to boost library services.

Applicants should have a college or technical degree and at least three years of related experience or training. A Texas driver license is required to perform duties in the community.

Qualifications

• Degree from college or technical school.
• Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain a valid Texas Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate programs with community organizations to promote literacy.
• Promote programs and events via brochures, flyers, news releases, and social media.
• Supervise and train volunteers for safe programming environments.
• Assist patrons in locating library materials and using the library catalog and databases.
