Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with multicultural staff and clients.
• Lived experience with recovery from behavioral health and/or substance use disorder required.
• CPS credential through Missouri Credentialing Board or obtain within 9 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patron and staff engagement via regular rounds to build relationships with staff and patrons.
• Use de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed approaches to support patrons.
• Collaborate daily with library branch staff and security to assist patrons with life challenges.
• Share personal recovery story while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Complete administrative tasks including timesheets and documentation.
