The Howard Miller Library in Zeeland, MI is seeking a motivated Part-Time Library Page to support daily operations, including shelving, sorting, and light cleaning, under the direction of the Technical Services and User Experience Manager.

This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently or with colleagues, handling routine tasks and repetitive motions such as bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, shelving accuracy, and assisting with closing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sorting and shelving returned materials
• Shelf reading to ensure materials are in correct order
• Inspecting materials for damage and performing light cleaning
• Filing alphabetically and numerically with accuracy
• Printing lists and pulling items requested by patrons
• Assisting with library closing procedures
• Supporting staff with special projects as assigned

About the Position

Under the direction of the Technical Services and User Experience Manager, the Part-Time Library Page supports daily library operations through essential clerical and organizational tasks. Responsibilities include:

• Sorting and shelving returned materials
• Shelf reading to ensure materials are in correct order
• Inspecting materials for damage and performing light cleaning
• Filing alphabetically and numerically with accuracy
• Printing lists and pulling items requested by patrons
• Assisting with library closing procedures
• Supporting staff with special projects as assigned

Schedule

• Fridays: 1:00 pm–5:00 pm
• Every other Saturday: 8:30 am–3:00 pm
• Occasional additional shifts as needed
