Grand Rapids Public Library is seeking a part-time Library Page for 20 hours per week. Duties include sorting, shelving, and maintaining order of materials, with a posted schedule across main and branch locations.
Applicants must be at least 14 years old and able to obtain a work permit; completing the 10th grade or equivalent is required. Light lifting and basic computer use are expected. Schedule may include Sundays and shifts at other branches.
This is a part-time, 20-hour-per-week position involving various tasks related to the physical flow and upkeep of library materials.
We currently have the following position available:
Main Library:
Occasionally required: Sundays from 1-5 pm
This position will be regularly scheduled at the listed branch. However, this position will also be required to periodically work shifts at other branches as needed.
Applicants will need to pass the Page Test after their interview to be considered for the position. The Page Test involves putting call numbers in alpha-numeric order and will be administered on site directly after the interview.
