Job summary

The role involves sorting, shelving, and assisting with basic inquiries, with up to 17 hours per week and a pay rate of $13.00 per hour; reliable transportation is required for branch duties.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass library math and alphabetizing assessment.
• Age 14 years or older; education not required.
• Reliable transportation is required to work in the branches.

Responsibilities

• Sorts books and other library materials; magazines, newspapers, AV materials.
• Retrieves books and other materials for patrons and librarians.
• Reads shelves periodically.
• Dusts and vacuums books and stack area.
• Shifts or moves books and other materials.
• Assist patrons with basic inquiries and directions.
• Assist with programs preparation and cleanup.
• Files pamphlets and brochures.
• Shelves and retrieves AV materials.
• Paste labels and bookplates.
• Handle opening/closing duties (lights, chairs, tables).
• Deliver library materials to agencies; run errands inside/outside the library.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
