Job summary

City of Iowa City Library Assistant II (Library Assistant Ill) works under general direction to support the Library's community outreach services and outreach scheduling. Travels to community sites to provide outreach services and helps maintain department supplies.

Will serve on assigned Library Work Groups and Teams and work the Help Desk and Bookmobile, including evenings, weekends, holidays. Under the City policy, this role requires a valid Iowa driver’s license, a background check, and

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited institution and 1 year of related experience; or 3 years of related experience.
• Experience in a public library, working with technology, and community organizations.
• Must have a valid State of Iowa driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Must pass criminal background check and be at least 18 years old.
