Job summary

University of Central Florida Libraries seeks a Library Technical Assistant II to oversee shelving and maintenance in the ARC and open stacks, manage daily scheduling for student employees, and attend the Access Services Desk. This role also acts as a building supervisor on weekends/evenings and may open/close the library as assigned.

The position requires physical activity, standing for extended periods, and the ability to push/pull book carts. On-site work at UCF is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent plus 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6), an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain library materials in ARC and open stacks, including shelving and bin auditing.
• Supervise student assistants performing stacks and ARC maintenance tasks.
• Operate access services desk and provide circulation services and patron assistance.
• Process cash/credit transactions for fines and lost items.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and moving book carts.
