Job summary

NC State University Libraries seeks a University Library Specialist in Learning Spaces & Services to support undergraduate teaching, learning, and outreach. The role involves delivering instruction, coordinating more than 200 library instruction sessions yearly, and overseeing instructional spaces.

As part of the Undergraduate Teaching, Learning, and Outreach team, you will work closely with librarians to enhance information literacy and campus engagement, contributing to student success across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience in a library or archives or records management; or High School diploma or equivalency and five years of experience in a library or archives or records management; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-person instruction and work with the Librarian for Undergraduate Teaching & Learning to manage the information literacy curriculum.
• Schedule over 200 library instruction sessions per year and manage instructional spaces.
• Serve as Ask Us Service Manager, supervising student employees and making operational decisions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain instructional content, spaces, and materials; analyze trends to improve programs.
