Job summary

Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore seeks an Information Literacy Fellow (Temporary) to support the Decker Library's Information Literacy Program by teaching library instruction sessions to undergraduate and occasionally graduate students.

The Fellow collaborates with the Information Literacy and Instructional Design Librarian on curriculum, develops lessons, documents materials, assessments, and statistics, and may teach new lessons for non-required requests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 1 year of academic library and/or teaching experience.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and deadline-setting skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach library instruction sessions, solo and co-teaching.
• Support instruction program planning and statistics; maintain classroom and rubrics; collect program data.
• Communicate with faculty regarding sessions.
• Develop and document lesson plans with assessment evidence and data.
• One weekly two-hour shift on the Research Help Desk.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
