Washington Public Library is seeking a visionary leader to ensure our library flourishes. Washington is a small town in Warren County with an estimated population of 7,418 people. Must work effectively with the Board of Trustees, municipal officials, library patrons, community organizations, school groups and the general public. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
A Master's degree in Library or Information Science in a library program accredited by the American Library Association or from a New Jersey college Master's program in Library Science that has been deemed acceptable by Thomas Edison State College. NJ Professional Librarian certificate not required. Civil Service position requiring 5 years of library experience, with 2 years in supervisory capacity. In accordance with the New Jersey First Act (N.J.S.A. 52:14-7), employees must establish and maintain principal residence in the State of New Jersey unless exempted by law.
