Job summary

The City of Cedarburg Public Library seeks an experienced Library Director to lead operations, set policy, manage the budget, and guide staff and volunteers in service to the community.

Working with the Library Board of Trustees, you will oversee programs, collections, technology, fundraising efforts, public relations, and compliance with state standards, shaping library services for Cedarburg residents.

Qualifications

• ALA-accredited Master of Library Science degree.
• Wisconsin Grade 1 Public Librarian Certification or eligibility.
• 5–7 years of public library experience with 3 years in management.

Responsibilities

• Develops long-range plans supporting library mission and goals.
• Forms and reviews policies with the Board of Trustees.
• Oversees budget development, monitoring, and reporting.
• Supervises staff and volunteers, including performance reviews.
• Represents library in Monarch System and community organizations.
