Job summary

The Town of Windsor CT is seeking a collaborative, experienced Library Director to lead all library programs, services, operations, staff, and facilities. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program with supervisory library experience.
• Progressive responsibility in public library administration, with leadership capabilities.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead library programs, services, activities, and operations with effective supervision.
• Develop and implement the library's master plan, policies, and long-range initiatives.
• Plan, manage and monitor the library budget and resources, including staff and technology.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff while maintaining excellent service.
• Oversee collections, automation, digital resources, and interlibrary loan.
• Build partnerships with schools, Town departments, civic organizations, and residents.
