Job summary

The East Bonner County Library District is seeking a dependable Custodian/Facilities Support to help keep the Sandpoint Library clean, safe, comfortable, and running smoothly. This active role involves cleaning, basic maintenance, and assisting with setup for library programs.

Wage starts at 18.96 USD per hour for 40 hours/week, with benefits and steady hours. Prior custodial or facilities experience is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent recommended.

Qualifications

• Custodial or building maintenance experience.
• Hands-on maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ability to use basic tools and equipment.
• Comfortable working independently.
• Strong attention to safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Keep public spaces, restrooms, offices, and meeting rooms clean and presentable.
• Vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, dusting, sanitizing, and restocking supplies.
• Empty trash and recycling; maintain restrooms and breakrooms.
• Set up/take down tables, chairs, and equipment for programs.
• Identify maintenance concerns and safety hazards for action.
• Perform minor maintenance such as changing bulbs and touch-ups.
