Job summary

The Denver Public Library, part of the City and County of Denver, is seeking a Custodial Supervisor to lead custodial work and ensure clean, welcoming library environments across branches. You will supervise staff, handle routine tasks, and manage special projects while maintaining safety and service standards.

Ideal candidates bring custodial experience, safety awareness, and the ability to train and motivate a diverse team.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalency.
• Three years of custodial experience.
• A current Colorado driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform custodial work to keep libraries clean and welcoming.
• Supervise the custodial team on daily tasks and special projects.
• Change light bulbs, trim landscaping, mow grass, and remove snow/ice as needed.
• Resolve daily operational problems and communicate updates to staff.
• Promote teamwork and regular communication to meet department goals.
