Job summary

Athink Libraries is seeking a part-time concierge who blends customer service with technology assistance and product promotion. You greet patrons, help them locate books, assist with self-checkout, and keep spaces welcoming and organized. You will discuss programs and services while offering tailored recommendations to enrich library visits.

You are comfortable with computers, enjoy helping people, and are eager to learn in a dynamic environment. Evening and weekend shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• High school degree; some college preferred.
• Computer literacy with MS Office preferred.
• Library or bookstore experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and ensure a positive library experience.
• Help customers find books and assist with self-checkout.
• Keep the library clean, tidy, and displays refreshed.
• Discuss promotions, programs, and services with customers.
• Offer recommendations on books, movies and music.
• Open and close the library and manage zone readiness.
