Clackamas Community College (CCC) seeks to hire a Library Circulation Assistant. This is a part-time, non-union, non-exempt, and non-benefits-eligible position.
This position is scheduled to work one, 8-hour shift per week: Monday, 12P-8P. Staff meetings usually occur on a quarterly basis and may require an additional 1-2 hours each term. Part-time library staff do not typically work during the interim periods between regular academic terms and scheduled hours will change in the Summer term to coincide with different library hours.

The primary purpose of this position is to assist library faculty and staff with the circulation and maintenance of library resources. CCC Library supports the mission of Clackamas Community College by providing user-friendly research tools, relevant resources, customized library instruction, and welcoming, inclusive spaces for the CCC community. High School Diploma/GED; strong customer service skills; good attention to detail, time management and organizational skills; reliable and dependable; able to work independently and as part of a team; able to bend, stoop and lift up to 25 pounds; knowledge of computers

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects. The position requires mobility including the ability to move materials weighing up to 5 pounds on a regular basis such as files, books, office equipment, etc. and may infrequently require moving materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Manual dexterity and coordination are required more than 50% of the work period while operating equipment such as computers and other standard office equipment.
Typical library/office setting. The noise level in the work area is typical of most office environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises.
Supervision of other personnel is not a typical function assigned to this position. May provide training and orientation to newly assigned personnel, and may assign work to student workers.
Works under general supervision of the Library Manager.
