Job summary

Fountaindale Public Library is seeking a Circulation Services Aide for an evening and weekend schedule. This part-time, non-exempt role covers 19 hours per week with a starting wage of $15.25 per hour and a pay range to $23.87 per hour.

You will assist with returns, shelving, holds, AMH operations, and DriveUp pickups while upholding library policies and privacy. No prior experience required; two years of high school is needed and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Entry level position; two years of high school required.
• No prior experience necessary.
• Prioritization and multitasking are important.
• Basic computer and productivity software skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous service to patrons and staff.
• Enforce library policies while protecting privacy and freedom of information.
• Assist with shelving, shifting, and straightening materials; support weeding and withdrawal decisions.
• Handle requests and route materials to appropriate departments or patrons.
• Assist DriveUp and in-library patrons with locating services and materials.
• Prepare statistics and participate in events as needed.
